The Land of Lost Things, the first book in the Adventures Unlimited series, illustrated by Bill Hope, has landed and features two of the greatest adventurers in the world: me and YOU!
Over the years many readers have asked me whether I could put them into the next book I write. Obviously I can’t put every reader who’s asked me this question into a book because there would be too many characters, but then I had the idea to combine you all into one character, called YOU, and then we would be able to go on adventures together!
My son Max (7) and I (40) read the proof together over 4 nights and it captivated his imagination in a way I’ve never seen before. The narration referring to the characters as ‘You’ and ‘Me’ made him feel like we were on the adventure together, and each night he asked me where I thought our adventures would take us next. Andy has performed a genius magic trick with this book, once again delighting and dazzling young minds in a wonderfully unique way that will speak to a whole new generation of fans.
I was really excited to see a new adventure from Andy. I loved the packaging and the fun illustrations throughout this new series. I also really enjoyed how the story made me feel a connection and a part of the adventure straight away. Loved all the quirky objects lost in this crazy land and then trying to find them throughout. I also enjoyed all the different faces created in the story. This was a really fun enjoyable read! One that I will recommend to all my friends!

What’s the Story?
In this first adventure you and me venture to the Land of Lost Things to look for my lost lucky rabbit’s foot. Along the way we meet the Knucklehead brothers, a bull that’s lost its temper, a wristwatch that’s lost its flock, Pookie the guinea pig, a duck thief, a hungry feline foot-seller, a talking book, hundreds of snapping turtles and a pirate rabbit. Do we find my lost lucky rabbit’s foot? Well, you already know the answer to that because YOU were right there with me! (And if you’ve forgotten you’ll just have to read the book.)
